Man sought in sex assault
Woman attacked in Thornhill
York police are on the lookout for a suspect after an early morning sexual assault in Thornhill last week.
On May 8 at about 12:30 a.m., a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the Hilda Ave. and Pinewood Dr. area, police say.
The suspect followed the victim for a short distance before he approached. He then grabbed, punched and pushed her to the ground, where the victim was sexually assaulted, police say.
The suspect threatened the victim before fleeing on foot.
Police describe the suspect as male, Asian, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-6, 130 pounds with a thin build. He was clean-shaven, had short dark hair, brown eyes and was wearing a dark sweater, a dark vest, jeans and a white baseball hat. He spoke with an accent, police say.
