Finger-lickin’ festival is back
Rib lovers rejoice.
The Woodbridge Rib Fest is coming back for three days of music and, of course, meaty delights.
Co-hosted by the Woodbridge Rotary Club and the Woodbridge Agricultural Society, the second annual celebration of the rib is set to take over the Woodbridge Fairgrounds from Aug. 8 to 10.
Five ribbers are making a return appearance at the Fest to satisfy the hungry hordes: Memphis BBQ, Blazin’ BBQ, Jack the Ribber, Rib Royal and Boss Hogs BBQ.
To fill the time between racks of the good stuff, the main stage will feature the Hoo Doo Blues Band, the Campfire Poets, Flashback Band, and the hip-gyrating sounds of an Elvis impersonator.
The kids get to enjoy face painting, crafts, a bouncy castle, and midway rides and games.
Admission to the Rib Fest is $2. Kids under 2 get in free. The gates are set to open Aug. 8 and 9 from noon to 10 p.m., and Aug 10 from noon to 7 p.m.
