Vaughan mayor Linda Jackson comes out swinging
More than a year ago while I was still at Vaughan Today covering the goings on at Vaughan’s city hall, the mayor, Linda Jackson, held a press conference in her office to address some legal allegations or political manoeuvrings by her opponents.
I can’t remember which, exactly. After a while surrounded by Vaughan politics, it all blurs.
What I do remember is the presser being hastily called. The Toronto Star didn’t have enough time to send a photographer around. That’s when they called us at Vaughan Today.
They ran one of my photos in the next day’s paper.
And then on Sept. 17, 2010, more than a year later, that same photo appeared again, this time on thestar.com in a story by urban affairs reporter Gail Swainson headlined “Vaughan mayor Linda Jackson comes out swinging“.
